DR MAHAM KHAN :
Dr Khan first joined Khan Medical Centre in 2016.
She is a University of Nottingham (UK) graduate and a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Her interests include Paediatrics, Diabetes, Women’s Health, and Emergency Medicine.
She is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Cessnock Hospital.
Dr Khan is not taking new patients at present.
She works Tues & Fri.
DR JAMES LIN:
Dr Lin joined Khan Medical Centre in 2020.
He is a University of Sydney graduate and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (1997).
Dr Lin has worked in Cessnock as a General Practitioner since 1998.
He has interests in Paediatrics, Palliative Care and Emergency Medicine.
He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Cessnock Hospital.
Dr Lin is not taking new patients at present.
He works Mon-Thurs.
DR KATHLEEN ESPLANADA:
Dr Esplanada joined Khan Medical Centre in 2021.
She is a Cebu Doctors’ College of Medicine (Philippines) graduate and a Royal Australian College of General Practitioners registrar.
She has been working in Australia since 2010, with her prior experience in Melbourne and more recently on the Central Coast.
She has spent a lot of time working in Paediatrics, a particular interest of hers.
Dr Esplanada is not taking new patients at present.
She is currently working Tues-Thurs.
DR BASSEM ISKANDER:
Dr Bassem Iskander joined Khan Medical Centre in 2023. He graduated from Alexandria University (Egypt) and is a registrar with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
He has been practising in Australia since 2018 and brings over 20 years of medical experience across Australia and overseas, with a strong background in Emergency Medicine, General Practice, and inpatient hospital care.
Dr Iskander’s areas of interest include Emergency Medicine, Diabetes, Skin Cancer Medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat conditions, Minor Surgical Procedures, Paediatrics, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Pregnancy Care, Mental Health, Geriatric Medicine, and Chronic Disease Management.
He is also a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Cessnock Hospital, where he is actively involved in both Emergency Department and inpatient care, bringing his expertise to both hospital and community settings.
Dr Iskander is currently accepting new patients for a limited time.

DR MARIAN REZK
Dr Marian Rezk joined Khan Medical Centre in 2023. She is a graduate of Alexandria University (Egypt) and is a registrar with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). She has been practising in Australia since 2019 and brings over 20 years of medical experience as a doctor.
Dr Rezk has extensive international experience in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, and Paediatrics. Her clinical interests include Diabetes, Skin Cancer Medicine, Women’s Health and Pregnancy, Men’s Health, Paediatrics, Minor Surgical Procedures, and Chronic Disease Management.

DR KATRINA BENNETT
Dr Bennett joined Khan Medical Centre in 2024.
She worked as a cardiac sonographer before pursuing Medicine at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2017.
She is currently a Royal Australian College of General Practitioner registrar.
Dr Bennett has experience across a range of hospital specialties, including Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Cardiology, Psychiatry and Geriatrics.
She is a Visiting Medical Officer at Cessnock Hospital.
Dr Bennett works Tues, Weds and Fri at the practice.
She is not taking any new patients at the moment.
DR JOANNE AMOS
Dr Amos joined Khan Medical Centre in 2026.
She has worked in healthcare for over 20 years, starting in nursing, and then later pursuing Medicine.
She graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2020.
Dr Amos is a Rural Generalist Trainee with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and has advanced rural skills in Emergency Medicine.
She is passionate about caring for patients of all ages and life stages, with a strong focus on rural and Indigenous health.
Dr Amos is a Visiting Medical Officer at Cessnock Hospital.
She works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at the practice and she welcomes new patients.
DR RAYMOND FAM
Dr Fam visits on a monthly basis to provide procedural services.
He is a skilled GP with a surgical background and maintains a special interest in surgical procedures, including circumcision, vasectomy, blepharoplasty, and the treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions.
Dr Fam is dedicated to providing high-quality care with precision.
He is happy to see practice patients and external patients.

RN SUZY WALSH:
Suzy is our full -time Registered Nurse.
Suzy joined Khan Medical Centre in 2020.
She is an experienced emergency nurse who had been working at Cessnock Hospital for over 20 years before joining the team.
CATHY FRAZER:
Cathy is our long-serving Practice Manager and Medical Practice Assistant.
Cathy has been working at Khan Medical Centre for over 30 years.
RAQUEL WILSON:
Raquel is our long-serving Practice Manager and Medical Practice Assistant.
Raquel has been working at Khan Medical Centre for over 30 years.
MEGAN BAILLIE
Megan joined Khan Medical Centre as our Secretary in 2024.
